VP, Relationship Manager
Duties
- Responsible for business development activities and generation of new commercial & industrial lending loans, and some commercial real estate.
- Interviews prospective applicants and request information related to the loan or credit application, corresponds with the applicants and resolves any questions regarding the application.
- Preforms a pre-qualification assessment and analysis of the financial condition and risk of the loan request within the framework of the Bank’s credit appetite.
- Gathers and analyses information necessary to present a financing request to Management and/or Loan Committee for approval; meeting with existing or potential customers, visiting sites of the loans, negotiating loan terms and conditions; approves loans within established lending limits or refers and recommends acceptance to the Chief Credit Officer or Loan Committee.
- Coordinates the process of approved loans, ensuring loans are processed according to agreement, customer documentation is in the files, solves issues related to the processing and servicing of the loans and approves loan disbursements in accordance with the approved agreements.
- Responsible for the performing the entire loan process: negotiation, underwriting and coordinating the closing of commercial & industrial loans, real estate and business loans.
- Responsible for negotiating, underwriting and processing renewals of credit facilities.
- Monitors the loan portfolio to ensure safety and soundness and takes the necessary actions to remedy any deficiencies or gathering missing documentation.
- Responsible for adhering to the Bank’s policies and procedures regarding lending, credit, BSA and any other policy.
- Maintains good customer relationships and seeks cross-selling opportunities and takes a proactive approach of retaining existing customers fostering the customer relationships.
- Responsible for the administrative portion of the customer relationship reviewing NSF, overdraft, wire transfer, BSA requirements, etc.
- Responsible for completing annual training program assigned.
- Performs other functions and/or duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration preferred or equivalent experience.
- Ten (10) years of experience as a Commercial Lender.
- Commercial & Industrial lending experience required.
- Advance computer skills including but not limited to proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.).
- Must be bilingual in both English and Spanish. Ability to fluently speak, understand, read and write both languages.
