Vice President, Sourcing

The Strategic Sourcing Vice President, drives development of best Procurement practices, including sourcing strategy definition, deployment, and stakeholder management to maximize total value. Leads the Global Value creation program, target setting in alignment with the Spend Area Leads to enable the achievement of the global, Regional and local Procurement goals. The Strategic Sourcing VP also develops and ensures compliance with policies, strategies, and processes such that there is minimal business disruption.

Responsibilities

  • Lead & Support global strategy development, deployment, and strategic planning for key global
  • spend areas
  • Lead & support the development of the Global Sourcing strategic plan for Key Spend Areas.
  • Lead & support the development of strategies (Spend Area strategy, supplier
  • management strategy, and S2P strategy, risk management strategy) to drive regional
  • and global business expectations.
  • Manage alignment and deployment of global strategies and financial plans.
  • Lead & Support global supplier negotiation strategy and process.
  • Support strategy execution across all regions (including project prioritization, securing
  • resources, governance, and controls).
  •  Support the development, alignment and deployment of Supplier performance
  • management and intelligence strategy & processes in coordination with the regional
  • procurement owners.
  • Support the development of supplier selection and assurance program in close
  • coordination with quality, R&D, and operations.
  • Develop policies and procedures to safeguard business, including but not limited to
  • appropriate service agreement and intellectual property templates.
  • 2. Support the overall PMO efforts/resources assigned to the Global Value Creation
  • Program
  • Support the overall PMO of Value creation and provide leadership to the program resources.
  • Manage the cost center of the team in alignment with planned budget.
  • 3. Manage stakeholder engagement, collaboration of teams, and supplier relationships
  • Identify and manage connectivity of Key Spend Area teams with functional stakeholders,
  • suppliers, and internal Procurement teams.
  • Manage stakeholder engagement and alignment throughout the end-to-end sourcing process.
  • Lead & support global supplier relationship management (SRM) program for the Key Spend
  • Areas.
  • Manage commercial supplier relationships and contracts for global Spend Areas (where the role
  • is assigned as the owner of the supplier relationship).
  • Set-up Innovation/Incubation processes to empower product launches that are on time, easy to scale and meet margin targets
  • 4. Share best practices for all global Spend Areas
  • Lift and shift best practices from one region to other regions.
  • Ensure standardization of processes and tools in coordination with procurement leads.
  • Drive harmonized global approach towards end-to-end sourcing practices (strategy to
  • compliance).
  • 5. Support the delivery of assigned regional and global KPI’s and Focused Sourcing
  • Manage delivery of margin, innovation, cash flow and other deliverables for the Key Spend Areas.
  • Be a point person responsible for delivery of goals for Key Spend Areas.
  • Lead, support and participate in key initiatives such has bid events, supplier
  • negotiation, risk management and quality issues impacting multiple regions.
  • Supplier management and intelligence: support the regional procurement owners in the
  • management of key supplier performance for selected key supplier relationships.

Qualifications

  • Languages: Fluent spoken/written English – Required
  • Knowledge, Skills, Experiences & Language Requirements
  • Knowledge: including education, qualifications, and training
  • Appropriate University Bachelor’s Degree – Required
  • MBA, Procurement Professional Qualification – Preferred
  • Skills/Leadership Competencies
  • Strategic Sourcing and Negotiation – Required
  • Financial Budgeting – Required
  • Legal Experience developing agreements with vendors – Required
  • Project Management and Communication – Required
  • Relationship Management – Required
  • People and Change Management – Required

  • Experience
  • 10+ years of experience in Procurement – Required
  • Extensive knowledge of Spend Area at hand – Required
  • Beauty industry experience – Preferred
