Manager, Sales Operations
Manage our inside/back-office sales team as well as take responsibility for various sales operational and organizational topics such as reporting, internal procedures, training and development. They would report to the VP of Sales and in essence become this person’s right hand. Place of work: Elizabeth, NJ.
Responsibilities
- Close collaboration with the VP of Sales on sales organization, operation and strategy and execution of same.
- Responsible for the inside sales and back-office sales functions.
- Develop a structure and process for customer implementation and keep oversight of the process and ensure that these are correctly documented and frequently reviewed for improvements.
- Coordinate workload distribution for the inside sales/back-office sales team.
- Continuously identify opportunities for optimization and automation within the sales team/sales process.
- Play a key role in forecasting and planning for the US region.
- Close collaboration and alignment with outside sales, the marketing and communications department, and product departments to align on priorities, strategy and operational planning.
- Collaboration and coordination may include market research, campaigns.
- Play a key role in development of new tools and operate as super user on sales tools and ensure that the sales team are sufficiently trained and systems are used optimally.
- Creation of a Customer QBR standard and coordinate preparation of same.
Qualifications
- Good understanding of optimal CRM usage
- Sales organization.
- Expert in the sales cycle within the freight forwarding industry. Other related industries such as warehousing and ground transportation is an advantage.
- Documentation and execution of sales processes.
- performance management – reporting, statistics and analytics.
- Customer implementation.
